Critter

A note from Critter’s former foster:

It breaks my heart that we can’t take him in. The way he was described to me versus how he acts in a home environment is almost polar opposite.

He has in own language, nibbling his harness means he wants to walk, nibbling people means he’s hungry. We worked at stopping the last part, and have made some progress. At the end of the fostering, he gently put our arms in his mouth, and if we had more time I feel we could work past that, as well.

He is so friendly with other dogs, we reunited him with Jake, and he met Jordy’s other dogs. He was extremely gentle with the little old dog, playful with their large Rottweiler, and just wanted to follow their other two.

After a walk, he’s a lazy puppy who whole-heartedly believes he’s a lap dog. He hasn’t kept his attention on toys for more than 2 minutes at a time, and is extremely food motivated.

We’ve been able to get him into the kennel every night, usually by tempting him with “Pork Chomps”, and he sleeps peacefully through the night. A bit of snoring, but peaceful and stayed asleep in the kennel by the foot of our bed.

I feel this dog is so perfect, but would need to change my living situation to keep him safe.

If anyone in Taylor is willing to adopt him, I’d like to offer to dog-sit if they need it. Critter really grew on me, and I just want the absolute best for him.
